Finally almost 14 weeks after getting my iPad the good folks at apple decided to address the wifi issues many users have been having.

So tonight for the first time in over 3 months I have a full signal and no drop out on wifi......... Maybe I wasn't holding it right:D

I presume it will bork my jailbreak? and I need to give it a miss until they get that sorted?

and aye it will be nice, I had to use a couple of old routers I had lying around as wifi repeaters to alleviate the issue throughout the house.

If you have an iPad plug it into your iTunes as there is a software update waiting for you... Addresses the wifi issue a lot if users have had

Yeah you should probably leave it, one of my mates reverted back to original spec as he wasn't mad about the jailbreak

Cheers man, I must be one of the lucky ones. No problem with my wifi. Anything else in the update?

I had some WiFi issues. Intermittent, mainly resolved by turning WiFi on and off. Very rare, as in once or twice per week, and there would be about 3 hours of iPad use on a daily basis between two to three WiFi networks on 3 different brands of router (eircom Netopia, Smart Telecom one and the Huwei WiFi dongle).

Will see if this makes any difference. Still want multitasking though!

    Taken from here

"For iPad owners, Apple has meanwhile posted iOS 3.2.1. The firmware
solves several issues, most notably trouble with Wi-Fi connections. It also corrects a glitch with PDF attachments in Mail, and two video bugs: one causing videos to freeze, and another hampering the official iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter. The one feature addition is Bing support for Safari search."

Cheers OP, I had thought it was my belkin54g acting up as it tends to freeze or drop signal throughout the house now and again.

It plugs the Spirit Jailbreak hole, so unless for some strange reason you feel your iPad is more usefull not jailbroken, leave well alone.
