    Hi All,

I have a TM VSR G-Spec and am planning on getting another soon, at the top of the list is a L96.

What L96 would you guys recommend or maybe give me some ideas on another rifle, as long as it doesn't look like the VSR?

Also, where would I get ghillie style netting to wrap the VSR and eventual 2nd sniper in?

Get a Barrett, who needs camo when you've got a gun that says "F*ck you" to the world?
The G&G L96 is meant to be pretty good, I'd hope it is, I'm getting one! Maybe a Dragunov is something you might like?
Try using scrrim netting and shredded up BDUs to camo it.

Yeah, the barrett is pretty intimidating alright. The fact that I'm a small guy would only add to the awesome! :D

That is until my arms fall off, due to the weight of the friggin thing, man they are heavy!

Let me know how you get on with the L96, would be really interested to find out.

Scrim netting and torn up BDU, thats a good idea, man. Cheers. :)

    Hey mate,

I got a TM L96 about a month ago from Airsofteire and I have to say besides being an amazing looking piece of kit its built well.

I use an M15a4 as my main and I had the L96 on my back, I would advise using 2 straps on it and putting it on you back like a schoolbag, I was able to run around for 8 hours carrying it and no problems.

It is very sturdy and takes a bashing well, the only issue I found with it, is the spring canister.
I wanted to fit a 1J spring in it but found I was unable to remove the brass stopper as it is riveted in place.

It is held together with 4 main screws and each section has its on connection joints. I comes pre assembled in the box the internals are a lot better that that of the copies out there so I would say it will last longer but will have to wait and see :)

The rifle fires at 280-300 out of the box any way so its an all round good buy

    hope this helps :)

    Thanks for mini review! :)

I have a VSR G-Spec at the minute, and the locking pin in the cylinder is a pain in the a**. I upgraded it to a 1J spring, but had to drill out the pin. Tense few mins of drilling!

I am very impressed with the VSR, so I think the TM L96 is prob what I will go for.

Now to try and save money to get one!!

I will be using a king arms M4 for my main, but I don't know if I'll bring both out. I have played with the VSR and took out a good lot with it, before getting rushed, LOL.

Plus, I have my 1911 as backup. :D

your a man after my own heart lol, I have the 1911 as my CQC side arm.

yea the TM L96 is expensive but you do get your moneys worth with it :)

I'm now looking for a M249 lol wanna finish off my support weapons collection. have a VSR as well(its what I got started with.) great rifle and lasts so long. My next rifle upgrade will be the Socom barrett fully automatic lol All I need are the 900-1200Euro funds

P.S If ya want a full review on the TM L96 Ill write one up, I kept the above post small as didnt know what sort of info ya wanted :)

Hey, the mini review was very helpful.

Gave me the info I needed. Thanks man.

I'm looking forward to picking one up. and to trying out the upgraded VSR.

The barrett is awesome, but holy hell is it heavy.

I don't know if you will be running around for 8 hours with it on your back!!

But you'll just need to bring that out in a game and it will scare the crap out of the op force. :D

    Classic Army M24..

get a PDI hop and a twist barrel and you're sorted...plus they're rare enough :D
Every tom dick and harry has a L96 now at this stage :D

That may be true, but the way I see it is you should get the gun you like the look of.

if your sniping, i found you never want a heavy gun, and you always want somthing that is comfortable to grip and light. also take into considerations how easy it is to get a replacment magazine. i stopped sniping because vsr mags are ****in hard to get.

Yeah the m24 is nice, but is almost identical to the vsr. But you are right there are a lot of l96's out there.

I think if you really want something different you have to get yourself an intervention or DSR. But the price, ouch. And they weigh a tonne. :o

That was pretty much what I was thinking. I know my VSR is a good sniper, but I prefer the look of the L96 and have heard good things about the marui one.

You can pick them up from airsoft Eire. And I think one of the uk shops do them also. The VSR is as light as a feather and easy on the hands. I held an L96 and it's nice, I quite like the pistol grip style on it.

The thing is it seems if you want a springer, you either have VSR/M24 style or L96 style. That is unless you wanna bankrupt yourself. Or are rich. :D

That maybe true most are wannabe's l96

The Mauri comes with the proper mag in its rightful position a true L96
one issuse with the Mauri L96 its fairly loud compared to the VSR of old

I like that about the marui. But it does mean mags are more expensive.

I don't mind so much about the noise. the VSR I have has a suppressor.

And plus, If I do things right, the noise won't be an issue.
