Upgrading price plan

If i upgrade me 02 bill pay price plan do i enter into any conract that i have to keep it for a minimum time or can i just downgrade then again 2 weeks later or whatever? Thinking of upgrading to an iphone and maybe giving it away as a present....would have to upgrade price plan but then i think i could downgrade again?…

If that was the case, then everyone would be doing it. You will be locked into a 12 or 18 month contract when you sign up for the new phone.
