    ive just found employment in portloaise and i live in carlow i am banned from driving for two years and ive done 1 year of it would i have any chance in getting my licence back as i need it for work as there are no jobs in carlow and this is all i have

    why were you banned? there is a few busses from carlow to portlaoise each day here and here for people going to and coming from work etc. you did the crime now do the time!

    There is no early get out appeal for 2yr bans, you just have to see it through.

    If you got over 2yrs then you could have appealed to get your licence back after serving half the ban. It's rumoured that some judges have looked sympathetically at some cases and issued a ban of over 2ys, even by 1 day, for this very reason.
