    WOW 78% (14 out of 18).

    Happy with that.

    How so?
I agree, basically it kinda sounds like he's taken his penelty drop lets say he put his second in the dyke, SO he's dropping 3 and going to play 4. You could read it that because the ball rolled forward he was charged an extra shot as in he would now be playing his 5th instead of his 4th. But I knew the other two were wrong so I went with it anyway.

I ended up with 13/18 for 72% (6,9,11,16 & 18 wrong). Although I got 16 wrong it is effectively the same as my guess which was he must replace it and hole out since it would be the same number of strokes either way.

    Agree on #1.
I thought the ball was in play but couldnt figure out what they meant by the "penalty stroke". The question seemed to imply that the 1 shot penalty was for the ball rolling forward and not the original drop.

    Q1: Hole 1 – Burn
Correct! - Kevin’s ball is in play under penalty of one stroke.
Incorrect! - Kevin’s ball is in play under penalty of one stroke.

In proceeding under Rule 26-1b, the player incurs a penalty of one stroke. When the ball was dropped, as it had not rolled closer to the hole than the reference point for relief, i.e the point where the ball last crossed the margin of the hazard, and it had not rolled more than two club-lengths, the ball was in play (see Rule 26-1b).

    Q2: Hole 2 – Dyke
Correct! - Shona may declare the ball unplayable again and proceed under one of the options of Rule 28, incurring an additional penalty stroke.
Incorrect! - Shona may declare the ball unplayable again and proceed under one of the options of Rule 28, incurring an additional penalty stroke.

The ball was in play when it was dropped. The player must invoke the unplayable ball Rule, incurring an additional penalty stroke, unless the player decides to play the ball as it lies (see Rule 20-4 and Rule 28).

    Q3: Hole 3 - Cartgate (Out)
Correct! - Kevin incurs a penalty of two strokes and must correct his mistake by playing the correct ball.
Incorrect! - Kevin incurs a penalty of two strokes and must correct his mistake by playing the correct ball.

If a competitor makes a stroke or strokes at a wrong ball, he incurs a penalty of two strokes. The competitor must correct his mistake by playing the correct ball. Strokes made with a wrong ball do not count in the player’s score (see Rule 15-3b).

    Q4: Hole 4 - Ginger Beer
Correct! - Kevin is entitled to free relief and must place the ball at the nearest point of relief.
Incorrect! - Kevin is entitled to free relief and must place the ball at the nearest point of relief.

The hole for the 14th is a hole made by a greenkeeper. As such, it is ground under repair and Rule 25-1 is applicable (see Definition of Ground Under Repair and Rule 25-1).

    Q5: Hole 5 - Hole O'Cross (Out)
Correct! - Provided Shona corrects the error by replacing the ball at the spot where the ball originally lay against the rake, there is no penalty.
Incorrect! - Provided Shona corrects the error by replacing the ball at the spot where the ball originally lay against the rake, there is no penalty.

Before playing a stroke, the player may lift the incorrectly dropped ball and replace it as prescribed by Rule 24-1a, without penalty (see Rule 20-6).

    Q6: Hole 6 - Heathery (Out)
Correct! - There is no penalty.
Incorrect! - There is no penalty.

There is no penalty. A flagstick that is attended, removed or held up may be moved by anyone even if doing so could influence the movement of a ball in motion (see Rule 24-1).

    Q7: Hole 7 - High (Out)
Correct! - There is no penalty.
Incorrect! - There is no penalty.

There is no penalty. A ball to be replaced may be replaced by the player, his partner or the person who lifted it (see Rule 20-3a).

    Q8: Hole 8 - Short
Correct! - As the ball that has been found within five minutes is Kevin’s original ball, he must abandon the provisional ball and continue play with the original.
Incorrect! - As the ball that has been found within five minutes is Kevin’s original ball, he must abandon the provisional ball and continue play with the original.

The provisional ball must be abandoned as the original ball has been found within five minutes and before the player had made a stroke at the provisional ball from a point closer to the hole than the place the original ball was likely to be (see Definition of Lost Ball and Rule 27-2c).

    Q9: Hole 9 - End
Correct! - Shona incurs a penalty of two strokes for substituting a ball.
Incorrect! - Shona incurs a penalty of two strokes for substituting a ball.

The player incurs a penalty of two strokes for substituting a ball when not permitted by the Rules (Rule 15-2).

    Q10: Hole 10 - Bobby Jones
Correct! - Kevin incurs a penalty of two strokes.
Incorrect! - Kevin incurs a penalty of two strokes.

The player incurs a penalty for a breach of Rule 7-2 for practising during the round (see Rule 7-2).

    Q11: Hole 11 - High (In)
Correct! - Shona incurs a penalty of two strokes for improving her line of play.
Incorrect! - Shona incurs a penalty of two strokes for improving her line of play.

Rule 13-2 prohibits a player from improving the line of play by eliminating an irregularity of surface (see Rule 13-2).

    Q12: Hole 12 - Heathery (In)
Correct! - Kevin incurs a penalty of one stroke and must replace the ball.
Incorrect! - Kevin incurs a penalty of one stroke and must replace the ball.

Under Rule 18-2a, a player incurs a penalty of one stroke for moving his ball at rest and the ball must be replaced (see Rule 18-2a).

    Q13: Hole 13 - Hole O'Cross (In)
Correct! - Yes. She may drop the ball on the fairway within one club-length of the nearest point of relief.
Incorrect! - Yes. She may drop the ball on the fairway within one club-length of the nearest point of relief.

There is no distinction in the Rules between fairway and rough; both are covered by the term “through the green”, therefore, the ball may be dropped on the fairway, provided this is within one club-length of the nearest point of relief and no nearer the hole (see Rule 24-2b(i)).

    Q14: Hole 14 - Long
Correct! - There is no penalty.
Incorrect! - There is no penalty.

There is no penalty. A player is permitted to place his clubs or the rake in the hazard, provided nothing is done to improve the lie of the ball or constitutes testing the condition of the hazard (see Rule 13-4, Exception 1).

    Q15: Hole 15 - Cartgate (In)
Correct! - Shona is penalised two strokes.
Incorrect! - Shona is penalised two strokes.

The player incurs a penalty of two strokes for indicating the line of play. If the player removed the club before playing the stroke, there would be no penalty (see Rule 8-2a and Decision 8-2a/1).

Q16: Hole 16 - Corner of the Dyke
Correct! - Kevin incurs a penalty of one stroke and the ball is considered holed.
Incorrect! - Kevin incurs a penalty of one stroke and the ball is considered holed.

The player is deemed to have holed out with his last stroke and must add a penalty stroke to his score for the hole. The player is allowed enough time to reach the hole without unreasonable delay and an additional ten seconds to determine whether the ball is at rest (see Rule 16-2).

    Q17: Hole 17 - Road
Correct! - There is no penalty.
Incorrect! - There is no penalty.

As the road is an integral part of the course, the ball must be played as it lies. Alternatively, the player may choose to declare the ball unplayable and take relief by selecting one of the options under Rule 28, incurring a penalty of one stroke.

    Q18: Hole 18 - Tom Morris
Correct! - The score with the ball played from the wrong place counts and Kevin must add two penalty strokes to his score for that hole.
Incorrect! - The score with the ball played from the wrong place counts and Kevin must add two penalty strokes to his score for that hole.

The score with the ball played from the wrong place counts and the player must add two penalty strokes to that score (see Rule 16-1a or 20-3a and 20-7c).
