you could fly to Belgium with Ryanair, and then get a train to Amsterdam. It only takes 3 hours, so it isnt bad at all.
there is a coach that brings you from the airport and drops you right at the train station.
I did it that way once and included a nights stay in brussels which was nice.

Aer Lingus are the only option when flying direct to Schiphol - a fact I know all too well as I work 4-5 days a week in Amsterdam. In addition, the flights can be expensive, especially if you book late or at peak times. They have you cornered and they know it.

I'll try some of the suggestions mentioned above tonight,

it has to be August cause theres a few of us going, and it suits everyone,

in reference to brussels, the flights are under 50 quid, its looking like the best option so far

But remember trains are expensive in Europe

    Just did a quick check

    Charleroi Sud > Amsterdam Centraal 11/08 - 13/08

    €90

That is correct. Trains booked at short notice are expensive in Europe. In Munich there is a central bus station. Buses are cheap. The catches are discomfort and needing more time than a train.

    I am only speculating:
I imagine that there are buses from Charleroi to Brusels and then to Amsterdam. I do not command the local languages, thus I have no Website with timetable and fares.

Is there anyone here with the Dutch, Flemish or French language and knows about these buses?

It looks like it depends on the dates you need. Just checked the 15-20 of August and got a price of €142.62 incl of taxes which is good for that route.
