TVT Op Rescue (new mission)

    Since i went a bit tank crazy on the last mission :D And it sort of sucked.

    Next one i try make is simple.

    4 man Blufor US team has to rescue a pilot and bring him to extaction. US have norrin revive, no respawn but have an ammo box.

    4(?) Man Opfor are takistan militia, they have instant respawn until all Opfor are eliminated (max 20 enemies?) no ammo box tho. They can kill the pilot at any time to end the mission (see how that goes).


    Sound good bad ****?


    promac can you script a round end team switch ? When the round ends the teams switch.

    Test mission up on the server, really just want to see what objective based TVT is like considering the way Rhapsody is going :p reckon in OA TVT is possible.

    No objective atm but US have no repsawn, Durka Durkas have 3 per filled slot. AI turned off and the pilot should join the US leaders squad when he rescues him.

    Havent picked a nice town for this to take place in, just want to make sure Durkas Durkas respawn.

    Idea sounds good.

    Don't know about having the pilot being killed ending the mission - probably be better if anyone could fly so you just had to make it to the chopper with the VIP. Especially since there's no respawn.

    What vehicles would blufor have? Stryker or something similar? Would be fun to have 1 APC with an engineer, a medic and an all-rounder or two. Opfor could be whatever they wanted. One AT maybe, 1 sniper, 2 all-rounders.

    How would it work though? Would you have an immobilised VIP in a town somewhere and both sides have to race to get to him? Then blufor has to escort him out while opfor just have to kill him?

    The pilot will be held hostage by OPFOR. No plans to use vehicles i ****ed up on the other one adding too many :D

    US have to go in get the pilot and get to an extraction point. Mission fails if pilot or all US dead. US have guns and revive but no respawn, Opfor have 9 men with 3 respawns. Basically a objective based TVT.

    You can't change the side of any object once it's created in the world and the mission isn't loaded until after the map screen so you can't automate the squad list either.

    IN the TVT script pack theres an option for this to happen, its used in CTF and TDM and some other gametype.

    It would need to be editied to suit our needs.
