any good for what? sightseeing, shopping, clubbing?

personally I'd rather go to London, or Liverpool, or Manchester, or maybe Leeds. in fact, I'd rather go anywhere other than Birmingham.

The Bull Ring has gone up in the world quite a bit in the past few years and hs some very nice shops in it, including a Selfridges. There is also cadbury's world as well if you are a chocaholic, but i wouldn't consider it to be one of the main tourist destinations in England.

    Thanks for the reply..

I guess the attraction is the handy flights from Waterford Airport, the cheap(er) accomadation that say London, and Glyn Purnell's restaurant over there (got engaged there!)

Last time we spent 1 night there and two in London but going to London adds about £150 to the weekend

    check out www.birminghamuk.com

When we were there, we did day trips to warwick castle & stratford upon avon where shakespeare was born. i would recommend both of these places.

TBH, i think you would definetely find things to do.
