Well done to the young Dubs who beat Wexford in the under-21 Leinster Hurling Final in Parnell Park last night.

Hopefully it's a good omen ahead of Saturday's senior qualifier against Antrim where under-21s including David Treacy and Liam Rushe have a chance to shine.:)

yea its great to see. (again)
fair play to them and all teh background guys who are obviously doing hard work over the years.

would'nt it be great if the dub seniors got to a final. witha full croker that would be graet.

As a wexford man I am bitterly disappointed but on the bright side I was surprised that our U21's lived with the Dubs. The Dubs seem to be breeding big strong hurlers at the moment but a part of me questions if they will be able to transfer this to senior and be realistic challengers for Liam. I really hope so, but while being big is a massive advantage in underage it is not so in the Senior Ranks. Tipp must have some U21 team this year? there must be quiet a few seniors on it.

This is the key - lots of people, lots of time. The patience and long-term vision has been incredible... we're talking about 15 years of development squads finally coming through in bulk.

With a young senior time and more on the way, we look to be really building something.

Not sure if they're all playing with the U-21s this year, they needed extra time to get through their semi anyway. Though given how the senior team have gone so far this year... :)

Won't get any easier with Clare up next either, Clare are probably favourites really.

Yes, it's only a matter of time until they make it through at senior level. How many U21's have they won in the last 5 years, 3 is it ?

That can be a bad thing as well though. I mean Tipperary have a crucial qualifier against Offaly Sunday so how focused on an u21 game would you be with that on the horizon. As it happens the u21s done the job but hopefully not at a cost.

Id tend to agree and Clare will have lots of incentive after the Ennis fiasco of 2008 plus they are defending Munster and All Ireland champions. Id imagine majority of panel are solely involved with their u21s this year given the seniors are now gone, barring maybe one or 2 minors who probably wont start for them

Good point actually - their sole focus now will be the u-21 championship.

Personally I'd love to see dublin win an u21, it would be great for hurling here and would be just reward for all the hard work done in dublin recently.

It a tough ask but achiveable none the less.

Congrats to the Dubs on another U21 title.
Were there any cameras at this or any of the Munster U21 games and if so when/where can the games be viewed?
Although I haven't been following the championship this year I'd imagine that the standard would be quite high given the number of seinior inter-county panel members featuring for the teams left in it. True or false?

The Leinster final was live on TG4 anyway and you can watch it again here: http://live.tg4.ie/main.aspx?level=sport

Not sure about any of the Munster matches though.
