Any word on it's quality clive?

If you could strap on one of your LED torches with IR filter material I think these would be fine for spotting eyes at night.

Anyone going to take the plunge?

The stuff they sell is usually quite good, bought a pair of binos a few months back and there great!

I've used a similar device in the past and yup 20-30 feet was the range due to the poor IR source on them

I wouldn't mind seeing one in action with a decent IR source though

I know a fella who got one in Aldi or Lidl before. It was only really good at short distances also so he only ever used it when shooting rats at night.

You would need to spend at least €2-3k to get anything half decent.

I have used Lidl and Kite sights.
The Kite sight vision is great, can pick up a cigarette but like a glowing beacon at several hundred yards.

How much Fuzz is there with it, how long to acquire a sight picture, and how long to turn it on?

Press the buttons and it is on.
    The picture is there instantly.
It is not like turning on a light to illuminate the field but for 150€ it is worth the money.
A little fuzzy but easy to pick out what you are looking at.
If there is moon light you can use it without the infra red.
As I say I pick up eyes at 200yds with it.

NV IMvHO is only any good if you have a good rig.
I used a Lidl or Aldi one before, I found it poor to say the least.

I was using it last summer in the glorious wooded Hills of North Cork.

Very poor, however, In conjunction with a Lightforce IR lamp filter; then maybe it would be plauseable
