Getting to Cheltenham

Hi Guys Not a horse racing question per se but given that my question is about getting to the Cheltenham Racecourse I thought it was the most appropriate place to ask! I am going to Cheltenham Racecourse for a concert in August. Where is the best place to fly to from Dublin, in your experience - Bristol or Birmingham?…

Not a horse racing question per se but given that my question is about getting to the Cheltenham Racecourse I thought it was the most appropriate place to ask!

I am going to Cheltenham Racecourse for a concert in August. Where is the best place to fly to from Dublin, in your experience - Bristol or Birmingham?

Any time other than the racing festival it doesnt really matter.

Both cities serve direct rail link to cheltenham an are roughly the same distance away.

I normally fly into Birmingham, Skytrain from airport to station (5 mins) and then trains every 20 mins to Cheltenham.

Aer Arann fly to Cardiff also.
15min taxi to Cardiff Train Station then 1hr train to Cheltenham Spa station.
