    Hi,
I am looking to go away for a week in a couple of weeks for a week or so, I am looking for a trek type of holiday.

Some one did mention Camino de Santiago in north western Spain to me. Having done a bit of research on it it might be a bit to spiritual for my likeness and a bit quiet. Ideally I am looking to meet a lot of people where ever I go, A mate of mine is interested in going to, but looking for ideas? I'm in my late 20's and single.

So can anyone recommend a suitable trip? or has anyone have any thoughts on Camino de Santiago?
    Thanks

I'd recommend the Tour du Mont Blanc trek in France. You start in Chamonix then walk into Italy, then into Switzerland then back to France all over about 8 days. The trek is super with views of Mont Blanc to be had all the way as you walk around its massif. Its a tough walk with many passes to be crossed but its well marked and signposted. There are lodges along the way but expensive- 50e for dinner and bed which adds up over 7 nights. I camped and bought food and vino in the many small villages along the way.

You won't really meet any young people though on most treks in Europe though, my experience is the average age is more like 45-55.

Still a great trek though and could suit you. Chamonix is also packed with mountain bikers and rock climbers during the summer (its a ski resort in winter) if that tickles your fancy too.

OP have you decided on a trip? I'm not particularly religious either, but I'm doing a week of the camino starting in the pyrenees the first week in August.

Slovenia is supposed to be lovely for walking too.
