    hi all or anyone !

i am in need of some advice.
i have given up the smokes & have been training for a few years.
i swim everyday for one hr in the evening , during the summer i cycle most mornings for one hour and once or twce a week i run for about 30 mins. i also do about 110 press ups 2 to 4 mornings a week.

am i doing too much ??? i dont want to burn out. i'm33 and have never been so fit. i have no interest in gyms and anytime i google "how much excerise is too much" it always brings me to weight loss which is something i have never had to worry about. i just want to be fit & stay fit.

can anyone reccomend some kind of training method or a web site that would give me this information.
any information greatly appreiated on this

    thanks

    Micko

    110 pres-ups? I do no less than 250. :D

My opinion is don't put too much pressure on yourself and you won't burn yourself out. You're not aiming at anything in particular are you? eg. Marathon, Triathlon?

If you feel you're in pain, stop.
If you feel dizzy or weak, stop.

Otherwise keep going. There's no such thing as being too fit

    i hear you !
    thanks for that.
not training for anything at all but curious as to how well i would do in a triathlon.
i'd probably win it but gold medals do nothing for me........

    Congratulations on stopping the smokes.

No such thing as too much I don't think. As soon as you start getting injured and sore, that's when you are doing too much. I should think the quality of what you are doing should be monitored. Is it timed sets in the pool or just random laps.

Time your commute, see if you can do it quicker and try and hook up with a group or club, both cycling and swimming are very lonesome sports unless you get into it with a crowd and motivation can wane after a while, set yourself some goals, it helps focus the mind and body.

    Enjoy it. :)

Seven hours swimming, lets say around five hours cycling and an hour running. It's still "only" 13-14 hours a week. You won't be able to go at that pace forever but as long as you feel up to it keep it up/
