I just heard a rumour that a person died this weekend at Oxegen. Apparently (according to the rumour that Eminem even dedicated a song to the victim) a young man lost his life at the festival. Anyone heard this? Anyone know if there's a shred of truth to this? I don't think there is, as I've heard/seen nothing on the news,…

I just heard a rumour that a person died this weekend at Oxegen. Apparently (according to the rumour that Eminem even dedicated a song to the victim) a young man lost his life at the festival.

Anyone heard this? Anyone know if there's a shred of truth to this? I don't think there is, as I've heard/seen nothing on the news, on this site, anywhere... But can anyone shed any light on this?

it wouldnt be unusual for someone to die at something like that and it wouldnt be unusual for it to not hit the headlines unless it wasnt by natural causes

Didn't he die from illness, was a huge eminem fan of was gonna get a visit from him but died a few days before?

FFS - nobody died at Oxegen - every year it's the same. The song Eminem dedicated was to a young man David Smith who died the night before fighting CF. http://forums.oxegen.ie/tm.aspx?m=18972 He was due to go to the gig. A quick Google search would have told you this.

friend of mine is in the Order of Malta and was at Oxegen, she said that a guy got stabbed in the face with a screwdriver on Sunday evening but no one got killed.
