Ive been searching the forum quite a bit, but still not sure if the correct forum! My 18yrs old left school recently and intends to go onto UCD later in the year. In the meanwhile can he claim any dole or other entitlements? Any links appreciated. Cheers.

During the summer? Not sure actually, I know for after college there's a restriction for a number of weeks, may be a similar restriction after that level of education. I hate passing people around forums when I can't help but the people at State Benefits may be able to help, but if not it might be worth getting on to your local Welfare Office.
