Anyone an idea of the cost of them?

Im sure you can spend a huge amount - but even a ballpark would be appreciated.

Make sure the operator isnt a numpty. My band did a gig in Faithlegg a few years back, and during the tea/coffee refreshment break there was a fireworks show which left all the adjacent cars caked in ash.

When I got married 5 years back we paid €1000 for ours. He organised everything himself with the local authorities for the necessary licence that is required. He turned up, got everything ready for the midnight blastoff & just got on with it. We only saw him briefly when he came in afterwards for a cuppa & a sarnie.

Got a couple of quotes from suppliers:

Licence, Insurance, Display 10-12 mins, Professional firing and the venue allows fireworks and has a minimum of 50m square in open space.
    Cost €1500 – all inclusive.
