There is a beauty salon in Clonee called A Nu U. I have a voucher for there & I have been trying to call all day, but the phone keeps ringing out.

Anyone know if they are still there or have they closed down.

They are still there. I'd say call down to them to arrange an appointment. Lots of beauty places/shops don't have a receptionist and its the therapists/assistants who answer the phone and if they are with a customer already its bad customer service to leave the customer and go answer a phone so most have a policy that if you are with someone let the phone ring out- that might be why you had trouble getting through on the phone :)
Haven't tried that beautians myself but my friend used to live in Ongar and went a few times and was singing their praises!

Have just returned from the Salon A NU U having booked an appointment to have my nails done first thing, as I was heading away for my Anniversary. Arrived to be told by the girl that she only had twenty mins and wouldn't have enough time to do what I required. When booking the appointment I had explained what I needed and understood sufficient time would have been allocated. I am completely livid to say the very least, having gotten up especially early on a Saturday and arriving 9.30am to be told they now don't have enough time, unbelievable. The mistake was not mine, judging by the girls attitude (very indifferent ) she certainly was not appreciating the situation from my perspective, she just informed me that the other girl who had booked my appointment had not gathered the extent of what I needed done. While this may the case the fault for this was not mine, and I am now in the situation were I am unable to book another appointment in time. There was no effort to compensate me for my time and inconvenience, just a sorry but basically not our problem. Bad attitude to have in the current economic climate and needless to say I will not be returning to A NU U in the near or distant future.

    Dear Deirdre,

Thank you for taking the time to post your views on boards.ie.

We welcome all feedback from our customers and use them as an opportunity to further enhance our service.
I note you were with us once before in 2010 and therefore was disappointed that your next visit (june 2012) was less than satisfactory.

Having spoken with the therapist in question it appears that there may have been crossed wires at some point and for our part we would like to apologise.
I note you were looking for 4 nails to be extended using tips when you made the booking. However it is our understanding that when you arrived for your appointment that you expected all nails to be extended.
I believe you were offered an explanation that what you were looking to be done could be done but that it would not hold for you.
We also offered a 3 week manicure at that time or a full set of nails later that day at 1pm ( 3 week manicure taking 20-30 mins, full set taking 1 hr).

We apologise if you interpreted our explanations and offer of alternative treatments as "indifferent" and sincerely hope that your experience with A Nu U will not deter you from using our services at some point in the future.
    Thank-you and regards,
    Edel Giblin.
    Proprietor.
    A Nu U
