just wondering if anyone got the 32gb 3gs on 3, they wanted to charge me 299 for upgrade on the relax 150.
disgusted with the price for an upgrade and with the ip4's arrival imminent.

did anyone get a discounted price or is it the same for everyone???

Just don't buy it then. VF charging around the same.

    I was quoted the same. €199 for 16gb and €299 for 32gb.
What's so disgusting btw? The 8gb 3GS is €500 sim free on the irish Apple site is it not? A minimum of €300 of a subsidy doesn't strike me as a bad deal. Why would you think Three would be cheaper than anywhere else, when they haven't even officially announced that they're selling iPhones yet? All they're trying to do for the moment is keep the customers they have from going to O2 or VF just to get the iPhone.

they have announced the ip4, register on their website now. thats if there not recalled
you would think for an upgrade the phone would be a bit cheaper as you can already get it cheaper on vf. 3 normally have decent deals on their mobile upgrades, their deal reminds me of crappy o2 upgrades.
all sim free phones are much more expensive anyway

Its also 299 on o2 on their 40 euro p/month tariff.

Again why would 3 give it to you any cheaper. Regardless of the iP4 being announced on their website, it is not released so presumably until it is, the cost of the 3gs would not fall. If what o2 did when the iphone 3g was being released is anything to go by, the cost of the phone will not go down until the new one is released.

Still not a bad price all the same though,

I've just looked again. The 16gb 3GS is €219 on VF's bottom two plans. If you want it cheaper than that you need to spend at least €60/month. If you were spending that with 3 they'd probably offer it to you cheaper but, again, they're not doing it officially yet so it's not possible to comparison shop over the internet.

I've no connection to 3, bar being a happy customer for the past three or four years. I just don't think you're comparing apples with apples, if you'll pardon the pun.
