Flat Rate Expenses

Anybody know if an individual in the irish navy is entitled to claim expenses in employment (flat rate expenses). Being searching on the Revenue website but there is no specific reference to the irish navy only the british merchant navy and cargo ships. Thanks in advance. Jockey
