So following on from the thread on hiking clubs for younger people and my post here... http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=66674270&postcount=51

Going to go ahead with it this Sunday anyway, hopefully people will be able to come along!

Someone suggested we change the walk from Crone Wood to Three Rock and i thinks thats a good idea. Its easier for people to get to. The only problem is i'm not too familiar with that area so if someone could suggest where the best place to meet and start from is that would be great?

Of course everyone who would like to come along is welcome. And its by no means limited to young people either!! Just so long as everyone realises that they have to take responsibility for themselves etc etc etc dont sue me if you fall off a cliff!!

I'm thinking if we meet at 11 on Sunday..?

I’ve put an entry in EveryTrail that shows the Blue Light pub as a traditional starting point for the 2/3 rock area http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=705156. The pub has carparks on both sides of the road, and although I’m not sure whether there are any issues with parking there to go off walking if things are busy, I suppose the usual idea is to try to give them custom if possible (although I don’t think they do food(?)). (The trail can be downloaded for GPS if you’ve registered at Everytrail) There are also access from the other side of the hill with parking areas at Kilmashogue as shown in the East-West map.
