Just wondering there with the Open on tomorrow but golf must be one of the bookies goldmines. E/w 1/4 the odds and chances are players tied so even less. Plus you have in-running for 4 rounds I think it must be one of the bookies highest profit margins. Anyone know what sport has the best margin for bookies?

    Profit margins or profit itself?

Football and horse racing are all that really matter to the bookies in terms of bottom line yearly profits on sports.

    Profit margin.

I know horse racing and soccer make up most of their profit as that has the most liquidity in the market but as for sheer profit margin what would be the best.

    Greyhound racing. By a mile.

Next would come numbers, horses, virtual horses, soccer and the rest, in that order
