    Hi guys,

I've accepted a level 8 course and am hoping to apply for the grant as an independent mature student but i'm not entirely sure whether im entitled to it or not. Was in college twice before but didn't finish either course. I got the grant for the first course and paid fees for the second one but left it after 3 months in 2004 so there'll be a 5 year gap between then and september. There is also the fact that i didn't move out of home until mid October last year when it says in the guidelines that you having to be living independently from the 1st of October last year. Just a bit confused so any help would be greatly appreciated!

www.studentfinance.ie have all the info you need.
I wouldn't worry too much about the day in Oct you moved out, as long as you can provide info to prove you are living independantly now.

The different levels of the grants are laid out very clearly on the above site too so it should clarify what you would actually get.
