Need help from chartered people

Hi I am looking for past papers for the final financial accounting paper from chartered. Can somebody forward on a few to me as you have to be a member to access them online thanks

Can you give more information. Why are you looking for this info - motivate people to help you.

Also, you might want to be more specific - Are you looking for the CAI FAE accounting paper?

I need it coz im doing CPA and i heard that their papers are based on chartered ones....

Which exam CPA are you doing? Prof 1 or 2?
Financial Accounting at FAE level well up to last year is just a half paper and is report writing to a client on various accounting issues providing journal adjustments, accounting treatment, disclosures etc. There's no financial accounts preparation or consolidated FS or any complex computational questions. If you want the papers they are contained in the Derry Cotter case studies book 2nd edition all up to last years mock. ACCA's F7 & P2 papers are good aswell as Chartered's CAP2 papers for computational questions.

I've heard of institutes using other exam questions set by other bodies in the past allegedly - however, I doubt if it were common in the modern era where everybody can check other papers now so easily.

Even then if it did happen it was most likely lazy exam setters and the institutes were duped into thinking the questions were original.

With that said doing the other institute exam papers is not a bad way of revising, just make sure you've covered the CPA papers also! Good luck!

Hi odats, i need the final accounting paper - anything with company accounts, cash flows, theory questions and particularily IFRS 8 operating segments. I know you can get them online but for some strange reason you cant access them without being a proper member, unlike the other accounting bodies.

IFRS8 operating segments was not on the FAE syllabus either was cashflows IAS7, EPS,foreign exchange,consolidation was really only theory, journals,disclosures. The papers online if you get a login are not updated for the changes to the IFRS's they are UK/Irish GAAP from 2005 back so for that the Institute released a book called cases to IFRS by Derry Cotter which can be bought from the website or ask someone who did the FAE's for a lend of it. AFAIK the last case in it has segmented reporting in it.

perhaps i should be looking for the penultimate financial accounting papers...
