Too organised

This may be a weird one but I think I've become too organised. I lost my job about a month ago and have been home a lot since then. I'm looking for job since I became unemployed and have loads of interviews so I'm sure I'll find a job but when I'm home at the moment I'm completely bored and this is showing through the fact that I'm organising everything.

I was always a bit obsessive about cleaning; a place for everything and everything in its place, and I get irritable and frustrated if things are moved or messy. Since I lost my job this has gone into overdrive. Every room in my house is pristine and every cupboard is completely organised with the stuff in the cupboards being organised by size and colour. Many people would love to have the time or patience to do this but I'm worried about how far it is going to go. I always thought I might have OCD but it never caused an issue before so I never did anything about it. Now I can't stop cleaning. I'll clean a room and then go back and clean it again the next day. I even organised the fridge by size and colour!!

Do you think this is an issue? I'm hoping it will stop when I get a job again but I'm worried it won't and it might start interfering with my daily life.

As you say OP you're VERY bored right now, nothing unusual about getting a bit obsessive about organising everything when you haven't got much else to do.

I'd suggest using the time to pursue an interest, or maybe starting some new ones :p Give yourself something else to occupy your time.

Obviously if you REALLY think you may be OCD then take yourself of to your GP and see what they think.

OP you're stressed now and probably feel a bit less in control of your life than before. OCD can be about regaining control but the best person to talk to about this is your GP.
