had my fitting with fore golf today, and i have to say i was blown away with their service, from the moment you get there to the moment you leave " its exceptional ".
The whole process is brilliant , cant wait to get all my new clubs (2 weeks)
I WOULD RECCOMEND THEM TO ANYONE THINKING OF CUSTOM FIT.
BRAVO FORE GOLF, THATS HOW A BUSINESS SHOULD BE RUN:D

how much did it cost, excluding your new clubs? Just the swing analysis/custom fit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭aster99

yes its 100 euro, and i really mean , its the best 100 euro you will spend.
was great to see the process getting dialled in ,to where my ball was coming off the sweet spot more often.
hitting iorns longer straighter and with a more consistant flight.
the customer service is second to none.

Depends on what you are getting done.

€100 for a set or €50 if only a couple of clubs

I was talking to a guy recently who'd had custom fitting done, think he was about 11 when he got it done, down to 6 now in the space of 12 months.

How exactly does this work, do they supply the irons too or what? Or do you buy them and bring them down to them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,951 ✭✭✭SuprSi

They're lovely looking irons. Curious to know how much they were too.

They can supply the irons, or they can give you the spec sheet so that you can order them elsewhere.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭aster99

is that correct? at the end of the session will they give you a print out of what they recommend, shafts, lofts, lies, etc. And can you then maybe try looking for good 2nd hand options that fit these specs.

or do they only give the details on the condition that your buying from them directly

Jaysus it's like groundhog day with questions on Fore golf in here :)

They provide a fitting service, advising you on what they think works for you.
It's then up to you to decide what you want to do with that information so you can:
    1. ask them to build your clubs
    2. buy them elsewhere
    3. do nothing
    4. any combination of the above.

Can they adjust your existing irons..?

  • Subscribers Posts: 4,419 ✭✭✭PhilipMarlowe

Assuming your irons can be adjusted then yes, they can. I had my irons adjusted for loft and lie there some time ago.
And before anyone asks how much it costs, phone them up and ask them! I forget.

Have since been fitted with Foregolf. Great experience and would recommend it.

They recommended Cleveland CG7 Black pearl irons with Nippon NS Pro Stiff shafts.

    Anyone played these?

Thinking about ordering at moment. But was thinking would a 2nd hand set in another set do the business as long as they had the recommended shaft. Or is there other hidden specifications that Foregolf don't realise when giving you the sheet at end of session

Have an appt with them on the 24th. Looking fwd to it.

Did you not empty your head of questions while you were there
Why not ring them I'm sure they'll remember you

Oh and a question back to you how much will the full experience and set of irons set you back if you purchase ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,361 ✭✭✭f22

Priceless, you're dealing with one of the worlds best club fitters yet you look for advise from some randomers on a golf forum.

There are a number of factors that would make a shaft perform differently with another head but I'm sure Derek could explain in much more professional detail than any of us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 622 ✭✭✭irishtoffee

Henry at Carton House is a much better club fitter imo,i have been to Foregolf and he just handed me clubs to hit and never showed me anything on the monitor ie ball flight, spin rates and distances i was hitting the clubs he gave me etc.Henry at Carton explained it all from watching me hit my own clubs and after every club he gave me he showed me how i was hitting it on the screen. The difference at the end was amazing.

Fairly bold claim there...any basis to back that up?

Well asked loads while there but was just asking here too to get all opinions.

at end of day they are a business, so of course they would prefer i was spending my money with them than elsewhere...

Priceless but a fair point. I'm fed up of hearing any opinion unless it is properly referenced and backed up, Harvard style will suffice.
