I'm just wondering about parental leave is anyone knows much about it??

I know you're entitled to 14 weeks per year, but is that per year from when you first start taking parental leave? Or Per year Jan-Dec?

Can't believe I'm having to think about going back to work :(

It's 14 weeks per child, not per year. See here for more info.

I extended my mat leave by using 4 weeks parental leave at the end of it. It's been very handy. I'll be going back to work now when Jack is one. Great time off. I'll keep the rest of it for when he's a bit bigger I think.

I know the feeling Crazy Cat Lady, I'm back in just over 2 weeks :(
Absolutely dreading the thoughts of it already, I'll be settling the little lady into nursery the week after next so hoping she likes it :)

Best of luck getting the parental leave, it'd be lovely to spend a bit more time with the little person before having to return to work :)

I went in the other day and have reduced my contract to 25 hours per week (2 long days) and will be taking 1 day parental leave a week for the first month so I can use the rest as and when I feel like it over the next few years!

I'm not due back into work for another 3 months but I'm just dreading it!
