I have used forged irons all my life until yesterday when i left my golf clubs at a mates and used my brothers mp-60 mizuno irons and they felt much better and hit much longer.

My Irons are very old and i think I'll be going with blades what would ye recommend ?

    Fyi all Mizuno's are forged.

Edit to say blades are a must if you enjoy extreme punishment or you are a plus handicap golfer.

Well you used forged yesterday too!! I play with the MP-60's. They are not blades. One cannot say they would like blades simply because they can hit an MP-60 well.
MP-60's are a forged cavity back club.

To answer your question about what blades to buy - can't help out there. I never played with them. I'd probably never get cut again if I switched to blades.

Nope, I think the MX17's are cast

The titleist 710 mbs are lovely looking. I play the mizuno mp67s & really like them. Played two sets of ben hogan apex blades before those but the mizunos are sooo much better. Im not a scratch golfer & I hit them well. (hcap 12.6)

There seems to be some confusion here.
OP The "argument" is blades or cavities, forged V's cast doesnt (really) come into it.

I've used MB's for the last 3 years and been cut to 8 (from 11) so I dont agree that they are exclusively for + handicaps at all. Before this I used an old set of John Letters "true" blades.

    +1 on the confusion.
All the Mizuno MP irons are forged (and some of the MX range too).
The MP60 are not blades, they are a cavity backed players iron, albeit they look pretty much like blades at address, but are a bit more forgiving (I've used the old TP9 in the past and, until recently, the MP60 and trust me, the MP60 are easier to hit :D).

Recently I tried out the Titleist MB and CB irons and was surprised to find that, for me, the MB was actually better (I couldn't believe it to be honest). They had different shafts so that was probably a big factor.
Neither had that Mizuno feel though......

The new Titleist MB's are outstanding, gorgeous feel off them and look great at setup I think

I think that the OP thinks he played with blades when he used the MP60's and wants to get a set of blades based on this false assumption. At least that is what's implied in the original post.
He still played with a cavity back, no matter how much like a blade it might have looked..........
