DF was speaking to his friend earlier who is getting married. His friend told him that his wedding is costing 11k even though he is cutting a load of corners. DF is starting to get a bit panicky so I was wondering if anyone could shed a bit of light to if it can be done for our budget??

Already bought my wedding dress which was €115 in Monsoon :)

the budget for our wedding is 7k, that's not including the honeymoon.
we are having 60people for a meal on the day (a friday), costing about €3000 and a party in a function room in town which is free with just finger food on the saturday, costing about €2000 this gives us 1000-2000 for clothes and for incidentals such as decor etc..

shop around on ebay and read plenty of wedding blogs for DIY tips, get your friends involved and make what you can, not only is that fun but it will give your wedding a great personal touch.

    Should be possible...

    We're having a civil cereomny €500 +/-
    Meal for 30 + wine €900
Room for 100 guests + food + Dj in hotel for party €1600
Clothes, cars, cake, hotel rooms €1000

Should all come in at less than €4000

Hiya were getting married in October our budget is €5500 for 100 guests for sit down meal in a lovely hotel this includes civil cermony flowers, all decorations for room, DJ, evening food chair covers, sashes, bridal suite, free parking ect.
So far we have my dress, shoes, rings, flowers (bouquets buttonholes),cake, favours, invites, grooms shoes, cufflinks for fellas, necklaces for the girls, cant remeber anything else and we've spent approx €1600.
There are loads of corners you can cut and still have everything you want so don'y panic. ;)
