Brought to you by the world’s foremost aluminium frame engineers, Defy breaks all the rules of what was previously thought possible for an entry level road bike. With its ALUXX SL frameset, Defy is lighter, stiffer and better riding than many composite bikes on the market.

Sorry Denis, thats a good bit short of the asking price.

This is not a cheapo alloy frame, it is very stiff & light, has a carbon fork and will also take full length mudguards and pannier racks.

    Hmm. Would this fit me?

Currently running a Medium FCR3 50cm with about 11cm of seatpost exposed. I guess saddle height could be the same.

OTOH, the Giant FCR 3 specs list the top tube as 56.5cm (M) and 58.5cm (L) while the Defy 1 spec lists the top tube as 54.5cm (M) and 57.5cm (L).

My measurement of my top tube length comes out as 54cm. Can you measure yours please?

Just checked, dimension for the top tube is as per the spec 57.5cm

    Denis,

Still too low, I will accept sensible offers.

Just out of curiosity Denis, if you currently own a Defy and you dont think that they are all they are cracked up to be why are you looking to buy another one?

I personally think that they are a lovely frame, very well designed.

    Regards,

    hi skeff,

nice framset, bought a very well looked after defy2.5 recently and im mad about it, if this had been around when i was looking i'd have been all over it:) currently trying to convince my brother to buy your frameset, im giving it the hard sell!!

on an aside, i picked up a defy advanced 2 frame and seatpost off bonzie1 for a build project for a friend, would welcome any advice on a decent fork to pair with it, should i try and source giant (and if so where) or should i go ritchey/pro-lite/easton??

anyway, best of luck with the sale .............. if i can convince my brother to go for it i'll be back on to u!

    Hi mcd79,

I would reccomend that you get a Giant fork for the bike, its unusual that you were not sold the fork with the frame? If you go to your local Giant dealer they should be able to order one in for you.

I have one of the lads from my cycling club coming to take a look at the frame this morning and think that he may be interested in it so may be sold, will update this later on today.

    Hi skeff,

yeah I've been on to my local dealer (bike dealer that is!!) and he is to get back to me with price and delivery time.
The guy I bought frame from was carrying the fork over to new frame, tbh price I paid refelected that there was no fork, so I'm not complaining
best of luck with sale, I'll keep an eye out incase your buyer pulls out
