best moblie broadband for travelling around Ireland with?

    any personal experiences?
    Im thinking vodafone especially with the special off er at the moment,http://www.vodafone.ie/offers/modemoffer
    but has anyone one preference over the others??

    O2 and Vodafone have the best coverage in my experience. Vodafone's data networks tend to be less saturated, so I'd go with Vodafone too.

    The completely unscientific speed survey conducted on this forum a few weeks back showed that Meteor had the best speeds. They also have the poorest 3G coverage though, so not great for round Ireland travelling.

    Vodafone were 2nd best, or 3rd worst depending on your view point, and have very good nationwide 3G cover, not to mention GPRS fall back for basic connectivity.

    O2 was the worst over all, even worse than our old nemesis; Three!

    there is a catch to their unlimited service voip and p2p does not work on it have to buy a seperate add on which is bull because voip doesn't work very well at all on mobile BB charging extra for it is a bit uncalled for.
    it is however unlimited no fair usage policy just as long as you dont hog the local cell that you use and prevent other users from connecting you will be fine

    The vodafone "unlimited", like Meteor's "Unlimited" is believed to be 10Gbyte a month.

    Yeah, the biggest catch of all is that you pay 25% more for something that does less, and has the same cap as the capped product. The charges for going over that cap may be different, but I wouldn't want to try it to see.

    I can see absolutely no reason to choose Vodafone's unlimited midband. It seems like a completely pointless product.
