Install Cruise Control to an 05 Accord SE?

    Hi,

Just wondering how feasible it is to install cruise control to an Accord that didn't have cruise control as standard (it's available on better spec Accords).

I have this 05 Accord SE (2.0l Petrol) version, and I do a lot of motorway miles on weekends, which is usually a quiet relaxed drive and it annoys me that I have to keep an eye on the speedo and keep adjusting the gas, so I am thinking a cruise control would be really convenient.

Is there DIY kit out there for this? Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

I'm just talking off the top of my head, but I'd say you could retrofit the official kit to your car, as the wiring should already be there for it. Could be pricey, though, unless you can source it from a breaker.

Edit: These are in US, say they ship worldwide, may not be suitable for your model though?

Siemens VDO make a universal cruise control kit, contact AD Ireland in Dublin for more information about them.

i fitted cruise control to my alfa 156. just a matter of buying the stalk 90e , screwing it into place , plugging in the wire and job done. the 156 is all prewired for it. not too sure about the accord tho, best bet may be to try out car specific forums , thats how i found out about it being such a easy job on the 156
