My 2 year old thinks it's great fun when getting out of the car to switch on the lights in tha back. I normally catch him at it, but every now and then I come out in the morning to a flat battery.
It's fine if there's a neighbour about, have jump leads, a 2 second burst and I'm back up and running. Battery seems fine, only got it last year.

But don't want to always looking for help. I've looked on net at battery chargers, but they seem to range from 80- 800 euro !

Can someone recommend a good one to stick in the boot that will get me going when this happens ? I can see myself bringing him to the park or beach some day and coming back to an empty car park and a flat battery...
    Thanks

IMO the cheapest and most convenient way would be to tell your 2 year old not to do it again. I mean you are the parent, you can tell your kids not to be bold.

You need a boost pack not a charger.. essentially a motorbike battery in a carrycase. I have one I paid £20 in the UK.. lasted 5 years.

..or how about a solar panel that charges the battery when you are parked up? Seen them for a tenner on Ebay.

..or a charger with an 80 amp start switch - and a long mains lead. Saw them for £80 or on Ebay too.

or save all that money and continue to allow your son to be disobedient by simply removing the bulb(s).

Cheers SG, will look for booster packs now - that's the answer i wanted...

Samih, fair enough answer, but he's my boy and my life, i love his little games, just sometimes he wins. c'est la vie..... if i was looking for your answer, i would have posted in the parenting forum !:)

As a parent myself I'd give him nice rules to adhere to. Lots of kids climbing on cars etc. in my estate... Anyways, back to the subject.

Have you ever tried reasoning with a two year old? It's hit & miss at best.;)

@OP - I'd learn to check everything before leaving the car. It'll be hard at first, but it'll quickly become second nature.
