Has anybody got any good deals for any clubs in Leinster . I hear from some people that there is good deals for breakfast / round , or dinner / round deals.
I have searched the web but does'nt really throw up anything good.
It is for 3 golfers, myself and my ol' man and her ol' man , we all can hit a ball ok on our day, but we can stink aswell...
I'll keep looking on the web and ringing around , but I just thought maybe I may be overlooking some clubs
    Thanks

Slievenamon near Clonmel had an ad on the back of my tescos receipt, €25 for round, fry-up and a pint
probably in around the level of course you'd be wanting too

Play Bunclody (down the road?) early morning mid-week for 35 a head if you want a real quality course... If you have handicaps then they have a singles competition on Wednesdays for that money too.

If I was bringing someone out for a round of golf I'd want "a level of course" alot higher than Slievenamon. I'd take the fry and pint and go play somewhere else!

    Macreddin €120 for a 4ball with 2 buggys.

Played there last week for the 1st time.

    Best course in Leinster!

How about Headfort in Kells? Two nice 18 hole courses, and website says the club is 10th best parkland in the country...

I'm pretty sure that I saw a special offer when I played there before that you could play both courses and have a golfers fry after the first 18 for a fantastic price. Can't remember exactly, but thinking around the €70 mark. (It's €60 to play both 18's)

As plain green fees, here's their prices.

    Old Course:
    Sunday to Friday - €35
    Saturday - €50

    New Course:
    Sunday to Friday - €40
    Saturday - €55

    36 Hole Rate:
    Monday to Friday - €60
Saturday - €80 (subject to availability)

Play both courses on the same day for 99e, have a bit of lunch in between and that would be a savage day.

What day or dates or your thinking of playing? Weekends tend to be somewhat more expensive and booked out. Enniscorthy is in great nick and John (9233191) would see you right on green fees or discuss a gift voucher package with Barrys' 'grub in the club' which is reasonably priced. Great offers in the pro-shop too ;).

From having played a few courses near Dublin with friends who travelled from the West, I would highly recommend both the Heritage and Knightsbrook for a very enjoyable day out and close to Dublin. Both were 35-40 bills on the days I selected (had to search around a bit) and I booked online on their own sites.

I think it was the bridges that closed? Everything is open anyway. Defo a course everyone should play, and defo get a buggy. Super track, super greens and super views. Shame about the business side of it.

Thanks for all your help lads, really appreciate it.. Boards is just great... I never would have thought Macreddin and it ticks all the boxes. I like the look of it, and food etc is something that we can look after more when we work up an appetitte.

    Cheers
