3 mobile broadband contract

i have had 3mobile broadband for over a year now, i signed up to an 18 month contract with them last june when i got my laptop, and my sister then signed up with them in the august, both broadbands are under my mothers name. now that my laptop is broke i dont need the broadband anymore, i've been paying for it the last 4months and i havnt had a laptop and even though its only 20eur a month that could still be used on something else.
so im just wondering is there anyway to get out of this contract with them, i mean its not like we're changing our broadband altogether because we'll still have one with them, its just we dont need the two anymore and its pointless paying for something we're not using.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks in advance
    lily

The short answer is no. You can always ask, but they don't have to cancel it if they don't want to.

3 broadband are the worst company to deal with. I had a contract with them and cancelled it without charge. I spent months with dodgy reception because there network was overcrowded.

Tell them you have no signal

If they try to charge you cancellation fee ask to speak to the executive team.
they will have to call you back tho.

if you say you have a signal they will charge you for cancellation.
