How to Handle Situation....

I work for a company who had an apartment leased in Cork city while we had a retail shop there. The initial agreement was for 3 month lease and we ended up staying for a further 6 months without an "official" lease.

The thing is the company who operated the block went into liquidation during our initial lease. We had been dealing with a solicitor (Not sure who she represented) the whole time.

We have now vacated the premises and haven't notified anyone yet (who to notify?), we also owe about 4 months rent. The question is should we pay full amount and how should we hand back the keys?

We have paid all gas and electric bills in full, the reason our company is reluctant to pay full amount is the lack of communication with anyone regards problems / maintenance with apartment.

    Your thoughts please....

Notify the solicitor that you were dealing with to get in contact with the liquidator. S/he might be collecting unpaid rent to be distributed amongst the creditors. I'd post (registered) the keys to the apartment to them also but speak to them first.
