    OK I'm panicing now. I thought the grant was only based on your earnings for 2009. Somebody in passing said I'm entitled to nothing because I'm leaving my job. Now I know I don't get BTEA, thats obvious. But I didn't think you couldn't get the grant if you leave your job. This doesn't make sense. Please someone tell me that wires were crossed and that its not true.

    Dont panic, you can apply and as long as you satisfy the means test and haven't got a previous qualification at the same or lower level then you should be ok. Check it out with your grant provider, contact details and all grant info is on http://www.studentfinance.ie

    Yeah I've read this dozens of times and it says nothing whatsoever about not being allowed a grant if your giving up work. So I take it i'm right and wires were indeed crossed?

    Thanks Guys,:eek::eek:

    I have a level 7 but Im doing a level 8 now and I've had a break of over 5 years so according to admissions im ok for big fee's and the means test should be ok as Im below the threshold. Man I almost had a heart attack
