Look for Cratloe Woods Village or Thomond Village. They are the two student accommodations that are down the road from the college. You'll meet loads of new people and make friends there...

Haha! Have a search through Coleraine Heights. It's a housing estate across the road from the college. I know one of my friends is in there...

If you've got transport, you should search Ennis Rd.

would you need to be in a rush to get accomodation (cratole wood)? or would there be plenty of space?

There was loads of houses free last year! I'd say you'll be okay for another 2 weeks before applying.
