I was on the way to work this morning and a cyclist in front of me was out of the saddle going up new street/clanbrassil st hill. Fair enough, as I closed I realised she wasn't making much speed but she stayed out of the saddle on the flat through the s circular. Now there was a clanking sound coming from her bike (a nice lapierre hybrid bit like my own) and I'm thinking its due to her style maybe damaging the cranks/bottom bracket?

I presume she's doing this as training of some sort, and had impressive calves I did notice :D but it can't be good for the bike?
