I'm returning to Ireland shortly (with car) and am just wondering what the current going rate is per hour at garages. Specifically in Galway, if anyone knows. Need a couple of things fixing on my car and am just wondering if it's more expensive than in England.
    Cheers.

The advantage of getting it done here gives you the chance of returning to the garage if the workmanship is shoddy or if you have a follow up problem.

You'd looking for a about 50 quid per hour...

Hence if you're doing small jobs, usually this not applys.

I showed example here few weeks ago, when I just brought pair of McPherson collums to change springs of them.
It was no more then 10 minutes work of the mechanic, and they wanted to charge me over 40 euros.

BTW, I've done loadz of work to my car when I was on holidays in Poland.
Avarage rate per hour of labour is about 10 - 15 euros.
