    any1 ever get caught signing the dole while in college? what are the penalties?

    id imagine they will just make you pay it back. i was paid 3 weeks more than i should have when i returned to work a few years ago and the next time i was signing on they made me pay it back in weekly instalments.

    dont worry unless you where doing it for years i doubt they will jail you:D

    a friend of mine was repeating 2nd year, claimed the dole until she had to sit her exams then registered with college. apparently "everyone" does it...
    but yeah the most they can do is make you pay it back, but failing to bring it to their attention ie. intending to do it, could lead to criminal charges and civil proceedings as well as effecting gaining future social welfare benefits...
