Antec NSK 2480 - CPU fan replacement

    Hi,

    I have an Antec NSK 2480 htpc case. I have an LGA1156 motherboard and am looking to replace the buzzing intel bog standard fan with something a bit quieter.

    I am looking at the Freezer 7 Pro Rev2 - but have seen that it is 12.7cm high which might just fit in the case at a squeeze.

    Does anyone else have this case and replaced the heatsink and fan? Please let me know your choices - not too expensive if possible.

    I don't have the same set-up, but you should find something here. I usually use Noctua fans.

    I have this one in my build, a little expensive but very very quiet. Not sure how much height you need, but it's 140mm high with the fan. It's also very wide so may not suit unless there is plenty space around the CPU.

    Thanks so far.

    I sent the same question to quietpc.com (only 12.5cm clearance in the case) and they suggested the Scythe shuriken Rev B which is what I'm thinking of now.

    It seems to tick all the boxes - the CPU is rated 73W without overclocking.
