    Hi

not sure what section this should be in, mods feel free to move to relevant section.....

I've recently changes my waste collection company for a business that i have and have noticed a landfill levy charge on the invoice, is it a charge i must pay or is the waste company passing this onto me when they should be paying it?

    thanks

some companies include this in their charges & some list it seperately.

In Kildare if you deposit your waste yourself, you have a weight charge + landfill levy + vat.

Landfill levy is a government charge that waste companies apply per tonne of waste. If your waste costs X amount and you have Y tonnes then the levy (was 15€ /tonne) is applied to your bill before vat.
