Hey guys, hope it's ok to post this here, I had no clue where to post it!

Anyway, I'm posting on behalf of a friend. She went to Oxegen this weekend. UNfortunately, some little w*nker thought it'd be a great idea to have things announced over a speaker AND on a screen about her being a prostitute.

Subsequently, she was physically attacked so much that she had to leave the gig early. She was physically assaulted by numerous people, had cans of beer flung at her head, abuse shouted at her, money thrown at her, taunts of "how much for a bl*w job, love?" and the like. Her tent was destroyed, she had people KICKING her, etc. She reported it to the police and she also sought help from the security at the gig. The security sneered at her and ignored her aside from that, while she was having things thrown at her right in front of them.

Now, to my knowledge, nothing can be announced over this intercom or put on the screens without authorization. I'm not 100% sure on that as I've not been to Oxegen myself, but I'm pretty sure you need authorization to do that sort of thing.

How would my friend go about making a complaint about this? Should she go directly to the promotions company, or what? She's going back there today to collect her car, as she was being attacked so much that she had to run and get a bus home because she was afraid they'd attack her car like they did to her tent. There are also threads on the internet about her and she had received so many hate messages on Facebook this morning that she had to delete her account.

Should she try to speak to anybody today when we go up there to get the car? Who should she complain to and how should she go about handling all of this? She is going back to the police about it today.

Quick update. She rang the people who did Oxegen and was told to just go to the police.

There is clearly a lot that you have left out here. Personally I wouldn't be letting the organisers off so lightly. Your friend should consult a solicitor in relation to a civil case as well as proceeding with making a number of assault complaints against the people who attacked her.

To a solicitor for legal advice, as soon as possible. Nothing useful can be said about it here.
