    Hi guys.

Can anyone recommend a good shoe or runner that provides good arch support for my feet?

I am absolutely clueless on this matter and thank you in advance.

Shoes wise I can only advise buying good shoes; clarks, ecco, the usual and don't buy those crappy Penneys wafer flats... do you need a certain type of shoe for an event or is it runners??

Just for wearing around. Not a specific event.

I've a knee prob so I wear Nike air max trainers with the shock absorber in the heel or skechers trainers both are the only ones I have come across that I can walk for miles in without sore feet or a sore knee.

For plain black shoes I just bought a pair of suede Hush Puppies knee high boots, they are flat and I just seem to roll along in them & they are super comfy .... normally when I thought Hush Puppies I though errmm grannish but these are very modern & stylish looking so I'm quite happy with them and at €30 they were a bargain!

Birkenstock have sandals in various styles that have a moulded footbed and give great support.

Some Scholl styles are okay and are very comfortable, they also have the moulded bed and arch support.

They've both got nice everyday styles among the frumpiness, but for something more dressy I'd probably try Clarks or Ecco.

I just read this post and the insoles look like a really good idea for flat shoes:

I would recommend getting some arch supports made my a physio if you feel you might need the extra support. I have flat feet so I need them in my runners. In general, you should wear a flat shoe with laces tied up properly and with a degree of flexibility in the sole.

ecco runners are the biz. My feet no longer ache! And they're really durable

Bought a pair of clarks shoes earlier for general wear and i swear i could walk for days. No break in and nice support for my arches which have fallen kinda
