    Unemployed barristers are quite common these days...

    I'd say he did it for the challenge - as well as something to demonstrate to the parole board. He'll also be well equipped to fend off any more scapegoating. I'd say he has plenty of information nuggets up his sleeve.

    Id say he saw how much money the barristers/solicitors were making on the tribunals, so just setting himself up for the next pocket lining tribunal opportunity.. :rolleyes:

    After all, he kept his mouth shut about any secrets he might hold.
    ...Then there is always a "kiss and tell" book he can say **cough** threaten... he could write if he's not rewarded in some way for his silence/loyalty.
