    Rough or what. Is this the video that was mentioned in the 'butchering deer' thread recently?

    It's pretty rough. He could do with first learning how to sharpen his knife and then how to use it properly.

    I had to look as well. I know it better as "field dressing".
    In 20-odd years of deer hunting I never had to use an axe though -if you cut properly around the deer's o-ring it will all slip through the pelvis without splitting it.
