Recover deleted photographs

    Hi just wondering if it is possible to recover deleted photos on the ps3 that I accidently wiped earlier today ? thanks :(

    It sure is, anything can be recovered from a hard drive which is what the PS3 basically is. However you may have to pay a few hundred for the privilege.

    When you delete something on a pc, it only set that space to be used again by new files. On a pc you could get software for that but the ps3 uses its own format so i don't think any program you get would work. So their gone.

    In theory that is true. However, the PS3 hard drive is encrypted. It's not just a different file system. That encryption hasn't need broken yet.

    I'm afraid your photos are lost.

    then use GetDataBack for NTFS/FAT32 on the data you extract. High recovery rate on pc hdd's, maybe not so high on this as data will be second hand with a lot of filler to wade through also.

    That won't work Sony don't use NTFS or FAT32 on the internal drive and it's encrypted.

    Of course they could, if they needed to i sure Sony would help. This does not help the OP, well not unless his pictures are the illegal kind and then having the gardai help might not be a good idea.
