    Hi Lads,

We have recently set up an angling club in our town. Thinking about stocking fish into a local lake. Has anyone any experience of this? If so how did you go about it?-We have permission from the land owners.

    Thanks
    Anthony

Contacting a farm is probably your first step

Talk with the local regional fishery board office and they will give you advice.

a frind of mine made to man made lakes, he stocked them with trout, turned the surounding land into a reserve and got a nice grand that covered alot of the cost, again you will have to get someone to test the water quality before u put any fish into it or you could end up with a lake of dead fish, talk with the fisheries board firstthey will put you on the right path,, best of luck

Contact the local council, I'm almost certain spme kind of permission is required. Is there trout already in the lake? If so and if you're stocking browns make sure they are triplod/sterile.
