You should be more specific on the type of dish you have, as a quad lnb for a sky dish is different to that of a dish say of 80cm etc..

Quattros are only for Distribution systems, multiswitches.

There are basically four common fittings/types of single or Quad Universal Ku Band LNB/LNBF:
    • To suit Sky dish
    • regular neck for separate collar (most non-sky dishes from 43cm to 1.2m)
    • narrow neck (some older dishes, rare)
    • Flange: For specialist systems. no built in horn. Horn designed and supplied separate. Typically 95cm to 1.8m professional dishes and 1.2m upward centre feed or other non-offset dish, some times miscalled "prime focus".

Less usual LNBs are Circular instead of H & V, C-band or Ka band instead of Ku band.

Make sure you are buying the appropriate type of Quad and it's a Ku Band Universal with 13V Vertical and 18V Horizontal switching on the power over coax with F-Connectors.

There are LOADs of different kinds of LNBs/LNBFs out there, esp. on eBay. Some are even still used :) Some are not for "Direct To Home" systems.

I'm definitley non-sky. I have a Triax 88cm dish and was wondering if I would be ok with the TQD 005 Quad. I'll search some more to see if it is Ku Band Universal with 13V Vertical and 18V Horizontal switching on the power over coax with F-Connectors.

I also have a Diseqc SG-2100A Motor surely this shouldn't matter.

The TQD 005 Quad has Switch voltage 10 - 21 V. Is this the "13V Vertical and 18V Horizontal" sorted?
Also on the Triax website it states above the list of LNBs "Full ku-band coverage for both analogue and digital reception". so I'm assuming that means
    Ku Band Universal.

    yes. sounds right.

I use a SG2100 moteck and indeed any Universal Ku LNBF should work with it. But a quad isn't much use on a Motorised system. Even a PVR would really need two motorised dishes or else you could schedule a recording on a different satellite position to the one being watched and then record nothing. If you have 2 to 4 receivers only one can control motor and the others won't know what satellite you are on.

I have a single o/p LNB on Motorised dish and separate fixed dish for the multiple receivers.
