I've bought a lot online so am always needing bracelet alterations, usually go local , here's what I found.

Alan Kenneths in Nutgrove shopping center charged me 5 euro - V reasonable
Paul Sheeran Dundrum wouldn't do it lol gave the impressions it was beneath them - not surprised they closed with an attitude like that, didn't even offer an alternative.

Weir & Son Dundrum - 20 euro to add or remove links, free if just moving pin, also free if you bought the watch from them.

Tempo in Dundrum - 10 euro, pretty fair, they even did it during crazy xmas days

Ernest Jones in Dundrum - Free, and very nice about it too, surprising in this day and age,

I don't work for any of these guys, hope I'm not breaking any rules.

I'm sure if I looked into it it's a pretty simple procedure but I don't think it's worth the risk of a screwdriver slip to do it myself.

The guy in the Omega concession in Brown Thomas (Dublin) did a half-link in an old Seamaster bracelet for me recently enough for free. He seemed like a decent fella.

A couple of jewellers in Blackrock had tried to charge me €10+ previously.

+1 for the DIY route... I bought this recently, and with the help of google, it was quite easy to remove links from my Seiko and Omega (watch out for the pin collars)....

DIY the only way to go. Get the simple tools off EBAY etc. A bit of practice and off you go. I change my straps, add/remove links....it only takes a minute or two. And no need to leave your house (or office).
